I have been a bit stressed out for what seems like forever but is actually like from mid-August 2020. I find it hard to replace negative thoughts with happy ones as I feel everywhere I look there is something negative going on. Are there any techniques to help with replacing negative thoughts with more positive ones and not slip back down that rabbit hole?
What’s happening right now has pushed everyone out of the comfort zone. It can be overwhelming, how we handle situations makes a huge difference. Remember there is someone greater than us, trust God to carry us through difficult moments.
Taking a “time-out” is my way of dealing with stress but it’s not always possible. That’s when I have to think positive thoughts and try to turn my attitude around! Thank you for posting all these great techniques for dealing with stress. I have never heard of the 4-7-8 technique of breathing, however. What is that?
It is a relaxing technique where an individual breathes using 3 simple steps
1 – inhales for 4 seconds
2 – holds 7 seconds
3 – releases 8 seconds through the mouth

Thank you for the tips to lower our stress levels. I like to stress, especially when things go wrong. I like to do things to make me calm like walking on the beach, exercising and do stuff that make me happy. My trigger factors I have also identified and ever since it help me alot by avoiding such categories.
Being able to identify the things that trigger you is good. It puts you in a position to manage situations better and even avoid stress to a certain extent.
